1. Who these terms apply to

These terms govern every rental agreement between Golden Key Rent Car L.L.C. ("we", "us") and the person or company named on the rental contract ("you"). By signing the contract or taking possession of a vehicle, you accept them.

Where a signed rental contract or corporate leasing agreement says something different, that document takes precedence over this page.

2. Driver eligibility

• The minimum age for all vehicles in our fleet is 18 years.
• UAE residents must hold a valid UAE driving licence and Emirates ID.
• Visitors must hold a passport, a valid home-country licence and an International Driving Permit.
• Only drivers named on the contract may operate the vehicle. Allowing an unnamed person to drive voids the insurance and makes you liable for all resulting costs.

3. Rates, VAT and what is included

Rates quoted on this website are per day and exclude 5 per cent UAE VAT, which is shown as a separate line on every quote and invoice.

Every rental includes comprehensive insurance, registration, routine maintenance and 24-hour support. Fuel is supplied full and must be returned full.

Weekly rates apply from seven days and monthly rates from thirty days. Where more than one rate could apply, we charge the lower one.

4. Security deposit

A refundable deposit of AED 1,500 is held on the main driver's card for personal rentals. It is released after the vehicle is returned and once Salik tolls, traffic fines and any damage have been accounted for.

Corporate leasing agreements carry no security deposit.

5. Mileage

Daily and weekly rentals include 250 km per day. Monthly contracts include 5,000 km per month. Excess kilometres are charged at the per-km rate stated on your contract.

6. Use of the vehicle

The vehicle must not be used for racing or motorsport of any kind, driven on unpaved surfaces or sand unless the category permits it, sub-let or used to carry passengers for hire, driven outside the UAE without our prior written consent, or operated by anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Smoking inside the vehicle incurs a cleaning charge.

7. Salik, fines and penalties

Salik tolls incurred during your rental are billed at cost when the contract closes. Traffic fines are passed on with the official record attached, plus the administrative fee stated on your contract. Fines notified to us after the rental ends remain your responsibility.

8. Damage and accidents

The vehicle is photographed at handover and on return. In the event of an accident you must inform the police immediately and obtain a police report — insurance cannot be claimed without one — and notify us on the number printed on your contract.

Where you are at fault, the insurance excess stated on your contract becomes payable. Damage caused by prohibited use is not covered by insurance and is charged in full.

9. Return and extension

Vehicles must be returned at the agreed date, time and place, with the same fuel level. Late returns are charged pro rata against the daily rate. Extensions must be agreed with us before the contract end time.

10. Termination

We may end a rental immediately and recover the vehicle if the contract terms are breached, if payment fails, or if the vehicle is being used unlawfully. Charges accrued up to that point remain payable.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
